In the district Kerckebosch in the Dutch city of Zeist sustainable, energy-efficient homes are built by using natural materials and environment-friendly installations.
Extensive green roofs
Commissioned by Spuitco, Cityroofs has turned the roofs of the two apartment complexes into green spaces by creating extensive green roofs. The green roof of the first residential complex is planted with Sempergreen Wildflower blankets, consisting of a mix of 25 species of wildflowers. Sempergreen Sedum-mix blankets are applied to the roof of the second building.
