Sempergreen France supplied 270 m² of Sedum-mix blankets for the construction of a green roof on a shallow pitched roof of a primary school in Plouay in Brittany, France. Because the vegetation blankets are easy to cut to size, they fit perfectly around the Velux skylights. The Sempergreen vegetation blankets are always 95% overgrown upon delivery, which immediately gives a beautiful green result.
Varied planting contributes to biodiversity
The green roof has been installed with Sempergreen Sedum-mix blankets, which have been supplemented with additional herbal plugs. Because of this varied plant composition, the roof offers a pleasant place to stay for bees, butterflies, birds and insects. In this way the green roof contributes to local biodiversity. Moreover, the plants give a colorful and lively appearance, which is beautifully visible from the surrounding buildings thanks to the slope of the roof.
