These gorgeous green roofs were installed on the multi-level, 350,000-square-foot campus of LG Electronics Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. For this project, that offers office space to 1,000 employees, Sempergreen supplied the Sedum-mix blankets.
LEED Platinum Certification
In addition to the sustainable Sedum roof this world-class building features, among others, solar panels, five wetlands, a retention pond and energy efficient building systems. No wonder, therefore, that the project has received LEED Platinum certification. This aligns with LG’s long term goals for sustainability management.
The Benefits of a Sedum Roof
Sedum roofs are a simple, quick and low maintenance way to improve the environment surrounding your building. The plants absorb CO2 and particulate matter, they retain stormwater and increase the biodiversity of the area. They are good for people too. People feel and perform better when they are surrounded by green spaces.
