Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac, in the state of Maryland, is one of the 200 schools in Montgomery County. In 2013 the existing school building was modernized to meet current requirements. In addition, a considerable expansion was realized through new construction.
Rainwater buffering
The roofs are equipped with Sedummix blankets supplied by Sempergreen USA. The green roofs buffer rainwater and reduce the amount of energy that is required to cool the building during the hot summer months.
