Sustainability has been the leading theme in the construction of the new training facility of football club Vitesse in the Dutch town of Arnhem. The building designed by Geesink Weusten Architects, reflects this theme by referring to the natural environment. The new complex was inaugurated in 2013.
Green finish
For a lavishing green finish of the tribune Sempergreen has supplied 500 m2 of plant mats planted with 'Waldsteinia ternata'. The slopes around the training site feature Sedum-mix blankets as ground cover, covering a surface of 420 m2.
