In 2014, a green roof of 1300 sqm has been installed on the multifunctional building in the harbour of Roscoff, France. The Sedum vegetation is able to function exceptionally well under different weather conditions and is also a good fit in this oceanic climate. Throughout the year, the Sedum roof changes its appearance every season.
Beneficial for the visitors and owners
Among other things, the building accommodates a restaurant and fishing club and has a direct view of the Roscoff harbour. A wooden bridge runs over the roof of the establishment, where locals and visitors of the coastal town can enjoy the green roof and the sea views.
The Sedum roof is easy to maintain and also protects the roofing material against external influences, which extends the lifetime of the roof by many years.
