One Hundred restrooms has opened its very first toilet concept store in Madrid

This week the first location of the Dutch company One Hundred restrooms has been officially opened in Madrid, introducing a new standard in public restrooms, on a mission to create moments for better well-being. The new facilities are located in La Vaguada Madrid, one of the largest shopping centers in Spain. The location, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a design with respect for the environment, features an eye-catching SemperGreenwall in the center of the facilities. The official opening was attended by the Dutch Ambassador in Spain, Mr. van Bonzel, who along with Mr. Escusol, director of the shopping center, has performed the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony.

Changing the definition of a toilet break

One Hundred restrooms enters the market with the objective to make an impact on human well-being, by changing the definition of a toilet break. Under the leitmotiv "Relieve, refresh, reload", One Hundred offers their visitors one ticket with multiple rewards. In addition to permanent focus on cleanliness, the facilities are fully equipped with cutting-edge as well as no-touch technology, a self-check room -where visitors can monitor health indicators like weight, blood pressure, length and body mass index, or perform a skin analysis-, a shower room, a steam experience, two female beauty-bars, a male grooming station and a family room.

Design with respect for the environment

The facilities of One Hundred restrooms are designed and equipped with a high degree of environmental awareness and built with sustainability in mind. With the aim of offering a comprehensive well-being experience, luxury, comfort and cleanliness prevail. The design is inspired by organic, natural shapes. The most vivid feature is the striking SemperGreenwall in the center of the facilities. This green wall, with real plants, creates a sense of calm and a sensation of being outdoors. The walls, of wood texture, combined with the soft and indirect lighting, the ambient aroma, nature sounds and lounge music, provide a sensation of relaxation and calmness.

More One Hundred restrooms opening soon

In the coming months One Hundred will be installed in three more locations in Spain and in Stockholm, Sweden. During the first quarter of 2019 One Hundred will open five more locations in Europe. The clear strategic direction for One Hundred is a global roll-out. For the moment, the focus is on high traffic areas in the European market, such as shopping centers, transport hubs and gas stations.
