Green Roofs: Managing Stormwater and More

In an effort to make cities more environmentally sustainable, resilient to climate change, and future-proof, it is crucial to enhance urban greenery. Green roofs are an excellent way to transform the large amounts of unused grey surfaces on the roofs into green oases. At the exhibition, Sempergreen will present its green roof systems in collaboration with Havia. Green roofs play a significant role in managing stormwater during heavy rainfall. Furthermore, they contribute to local biodiversity, reduce the urban heat island effect, offer sound insulation, and enhance air quality within urban areas.

Building a Greener Future with Living Walls

In addition to green roofs, another way to achieve this transformation is by adding green walls to otherwise grey structures. At Building Green Copenhagen, Sempergreen and Jydsk will showcase the SemperGreenwall, renowned as the most flexible living wall system on the market. This system is Cradle-to-Cradle certified, aligning seamlessly with circular building strategies. Notably, it holds a fire safety certificate, making it suitable for high-rise buildings and emergency exit routes.

Sempergreen's Project Solutions in Denmark

Sempergreen's outdoor SemperGreenwalls have already been integrated into Danish construction projects, including a car park at a Copenhagen hospital and another at Roskilde. Impressive examples of green roof projects in Denmark can be found in a residential area north of Silkeborg and at the Tjorring School in Herning.
